Math: We finished our diagnostics! Once corrected, I will be meeting with students to share their results. Where there is a need for reinforcement, I will be sending home a note so your child can practise at home. The same goes for language: we are working on four diagnostics: vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and reading aloud.
HOMEWORK: Find a profession/job that is of interest to you and examine how estimation is used for this job. Take notes as you will be doing a short presentation in front of the class on Monday!
English: Some of us survived a lunar landing....have your child explain.

Math: Answer the following question, showing all of the steps of your work (assumptions, estimation, operations, summary statement): "Our classroom's area is approximately what percentage of the overall school area?" Portables do NOT count towards the answer. Please complete this work on a separate sheet of paper as it will be handed in.
