KUDOS TO: Val, for pushing in his chair before going out for recess.

Grade 8s: permission form for Monday's field trip to Langstaff is due tomorrow.

MATH:
1. Test part 1 tomorrow.  This will be a table where you have to fill in the blanks (circumference, radius, area, and volume of a cylinder).

2. Part 2 on Monday (communicating understanding of cylinder area and volume problems).

ENGLISH:

1. We have now watched 3 student films (and you had a good laugh at my hair style from 10 years ago), so it's time to re-vamp our pitches.  We have to step up our game: let's be innovative and realistic at the same time.  Intergalactic mysteries might be out of our reach.  Remember what we have in terms of props, locations, and talent pool.  Pitches will take place on Monday
To remember:
1. You need to know exactly what happens from beginning to end

2. We have to care about the protagonist - help us to do so.
3. 3-Act play is not mandatory, but a strong conflict is.

ENGLISH
1. I will hopefully be giving you your formative movie review back tomorrow.  We'll make changes (if necessary).

MATH
1. Test part 1 tomorrow: determining possible outcomes, listing outcomes, determining the number of outcomes, calculating probability, and understanding probability relationships.

2. Test part 2 on Monday (probability problems).
